Our Ratha Yatra Festival of India Yoga Instructors

Claudia Amantino’s passion is to teach yoga in a way that allows each person to find the practice that best suits them in an atmosphere of acceptance and care. In 2013 she completed a Teacher Training in Yoga, and Vedanta Philosophy under the guidance of Madan Bali, Ph.D.  She continues to feel amazed by how Dr. Bali’s Therapeutic Method of Yoga helps to go to a very deep state of relaxation and meditation.

She began yoga with asanas (postures) more than 40 years ago and felt how yoga helped her mental health. Realizing that yoga is much more than asanas she began to study Yoga Philosophy with many  teachers and she continues learning with her personal practice, students and teachers.  Yoga offers physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and social healing. It teaches us to live a more harmonious and ethical life with respect for every sentient being and understanding that everything in the universe is interconnected.   Claudia has been a student of the Vanda Scaravelli way of Yoga with different teachers, has a teacher training in chair yoga from Sivananda Ashram Bahamas, continues to explore on the connection between yoga and neuroscience with Kristine Weber and engages in study of anatomy and kinesiology in order to support injury prevention and self-care.

Claudia is from Brazil and a psychologist by training, having practiced for 17 years in the private and public health system of Brazil.

John Acer studied yoga and chi gong for close to 30 years and teaching for over two decades. He is currently studying prana dynamics under Huai Hsiang Wang. John currently oversees workshops on accessing the pranic body and healing with the electric/magnetic field. At Ratha Yatra Festival of India 2024, John will give free introductory classes on feeling and accessing pranamaya kosha, your pranic body, as well as some specialized pranayama… with ten minutes of aum chanting at the end of each session.
